2013/2014 UTME / JAMB Exam Registration : Important Infos To Note

Recently a couple of friends have been asking me about informations relating to JAMB / UTME examination for 2013/2014 academic session and after much persuasion, i have decided to exclusively write on the UTME JAMB Exam registration and important things to note via this page on this blog.

First, I’d believe it is no longer news that Jamb Registration for 2013 has commenced but for the benefit of those in doubt, I’d like to give a brief news or information on that angle first.

2013/2014 UTME JAMB Registration Details

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, (Jamb) has begun her e-registration for the 2013 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, (UTME).

The registration and form purchases had commenced since late last year been 2012 and Registration instructions can be seen on the Jamb official website at www.jamb.org.ng/Unifiedtme2013/.

All Candidates sitting for Jamb 2013 examinations are advised to download and PRINT the New 2013 Jamb/UTME Online Registration Template and seek help/advise in filling the form or do it personally if you are sure you are correct. To Download the 2013 Jamb/UTME Online Registration Template, Launch the www.jamb.org.ng website from Internet Explorer, You will see a link to Download the Template form on the Default Page, Click on Registration Template, Click Save to save the downloaded file to a specified location or Click Open to open and View/Print the registration template, Click Cancel to cancel the downloading Process anytime.

Important Things To Note About The Examination

This year’s jamb will be different from the previous ones written in the previous years as candidates will be expected to select one of two Testing option while filling the jamb 2013 form; You can chose either Paper and Pencil Testing (PPT) or Computer Based e-Testing (CBT).

Please Note that Candidates are to perform their registration ONLY via Authorized Business/Computer Centers even if they are able to do the registration themselves, using personal computers.

What this actually means is that, you can not use your computer to register your jamb 2013/2014 Form yourself but only at the authorized centers, cost of registrations done on authorized centers is not expected to exceed N700.

Please Remember to collect your Jamb registration scratch card from the business centre/cybercafe after registrations (Please do not leave your Jamb Scratch card with them as you will definitely need it on a later date).

Candidates should take note that you cannot change your Examination Town after you have submitted your form, please take precautions and Don’t make mistake when filling your details.

You will require a JPEG passport to be scanned or digitized. The passport should not be older than Three(3) months from the time it was taken.

Candidates will be required to have a working Email address to successfully complete their registration and get additional information from Jamb. Am Pretty sure you should know how to go about having an email address if you don’t currently have one.

Candidates should also note that they will NOT be able to change their Names, Date of Birth, Origin and Gender after submitting their application.

Please have it in mind that if you are using Jamb 2013 approved Business Center or Cyber-Cafe, all the above procedures, including the Finger Print Registration should be available without hustles.
