My Say: Well yes, it was sometime rumored that BBM will be available on android and iOS devices around june/july this year which had long passed and we were eagerly waiting in anticipation and now again is another news. I just hope this time, they are for real and not just trying to pull up some more social recognisation outside what they already attained.

Android And iPhone Phones That Can Use BBM

It was also stated that BBM will be available as a free download for Android smartphones running android Ice Cream Sandwich OS and Jelly bean(Android 4.X) OS beginning at 7AM EDT on september 21. BBM for iPhones(iOS) will only work on iOS 6 and iOS 7 devices and will be available for each market on the App Store schedule for 12:01 AM Local time on september 22, for more information, you can visit

Personally, I still use an android Phone running android 2.3.5 OS and will virtually go acquire an android phone running android 4.x once this is done and confirmed working properly on other android devices and after wards, I would be more than happy to ditch my bb phone as long as moving my existing contacts will be possible.

Over to you friend, what do you think about BBM to be made available for android and iPhone devices in the next few days from now and what’s gonna be your next line of action?

It is jus a day, so let us wait for it and see.
But looking beyond the excitement, there is nothing special about the bbm except the group chat.
Whatsapp can perform all d functns except group chat and pin
Liveprofile assign PINs also to its users
Wechat allows group chat and video call
    Viber makes free calls

Moreover, these chats can go cross-platform

Yeah thats correct but wouldn’t it be better if you could reach all your contacts with the use of just one device? BBM was specialized to BB users which happens to be the only reason peeps were crazy about BB and now its going on android and iPhones, isn’t that awesome?

      1. Ismaila Jonathan says

Bt before nw, i could communicate wit bb users through whatsapp and do what bbm offers except group chat. Does the bbm worth d excessive recognition given to it? It is evn more popular dan skype and wechat dat allows video calls
