Use PayPal To Fund Your PS3 PlayStation Store Purchases
Good news to all PS3 playstation users and PayPal users as the company has now integrated PayPal payment service as a way to pay for purchases on the playstation store. According to Engadget, PayPal support for Sony Entertainment Network, the company’s online digital content hub, is actually nothing new — Sony integrated the billing option in January of this year. Now, however, PlayStation 3 users that want a more secure way to fund their purchases directly within the PlayStation Store will find PayPal as an alternative at the stage of checkout.
According to the playstation blog, Adding funds to your Sony Entertainment Network wallet through PayPal is easy on PS3. When checking out from the cart on PlayStation Store, click “Add Funds”, then click “PayPal” and transfer any amount from $5 to $150 (the minimum amount transferable is $5 and the max is $150). If you’re new to PayPal, you’ll have to set up a PayPal account first to use this option.
Your Sony Entertainment Network wallet can be used to purchase games, add-ons, movies, TV episodes, and more from PlayStation Store.
Personally, i think this is a pretty awesome innovation as most people tend to prefer using this payment process then having to input their credit card details when making purchases on the PlayStation store.
